| Mathias Munk Modica is the head of the Munich music and graphic collective Gomma. His electronic music project „Munk” is part of the creative outcome of this collective, which also focuses on visual works for their poster magazine AMORE and for their Mondo Gomma shows: exhibitions showcasing illustrations by young and upcoming artists at galleries in Berlin, Tokyo, and Stockholm. For Friday 13th, the graduate of electronic and classical music created a one-hour sound collage based on the sounds of nature, romantic music, and love poems. „The idea”, Modica says, „is to create an acoustic background designed to imitate the sensation of a laid-back afternoon spent in the garden of a countryside villa in 1850.
